FISHERIES OFFICERS

who are they?

Fisheries Officers are a highly skilled section of the Education and Enforcement Division of the VFA.

Fisheries Officers (FOs) are on-the-ground protectors of Victoria’s waterways, ensuring our fish stocks, marine ecosystems, and coastal industries remain sustainable for future generations.

They play a crucial role in enforcing fishing laws, preventing illegal activity, and maintaining a fair and thriving fishing industry.
